EQMS is proud to support one of Mexico’s largest tank manufacturers with the rolling of heavy carbon steel plates for a major silo project in the steel industry.

In March, we completed the first batch:

• 20 plates of 1-3/8” thick Carbon Steel A-36, each measuring 6,070 mm x 1,778 mm and weighing 2,990 kg.
• Total weight rolled: 59,800 kg

This is just the beginning. The full scope of the project includes plate rolling for one complete silo, with additional rolling scheduled throughout April:

• 12 plates of 2” thickness, 2,400 mm x 12,000 mm – Total weight: 144,000 kg
• 24 plates of 1-1/4” thickness, 4,969 mm x 2,393 mm – Total weight: 71,136 kg
• 12 plates of 1-1/2” thickness, 3,094 mm x 1,400 mm – Total weight: 156,700 kg

With a total project weight exceeding 430 tons, this job reflects EQMS’s capabilities in precision rolling of heavy plates for large-scale industrial applications. The silos will play an important role in operations at a major steel mill in Mexico.
